“Doing a safari in Africa has been on my to do list since as far back as I can remember. So when a friend asked if my wife and I would be interested in doing a safari in Tanzania with Dianna and Isa from Tanzania Discovery Tours we really didn’t need to think about it.

We booked our tour for 2020 and like so many others, COVID had other ideas and the trip didn’t happen until June 2022. In that time Dianna kept us up to date with a forever changing goal post over a long 2 years which was greatly appreciated and would have been near impossible to keep up with, without her help.

Dianna was also able to organise an extra 9 day safari in Uganda so we could experience the Gorillas (which we loved) in conjunction with our Tanzanian safari.

The tour incorporates a mixture of many different things that make for a once in a lifetime experience. From seeing so many animals up close and personal in their own habitat, to glamping in these amazing 5 star tents overlooking the Tangarine National Park, to old school camping on our days hiking through The Great Rift Valley. The hot air balloon ride over the Tangarine National Park was breathtaking and we would highly recommended to do it if you get the chance. I have to comment on the food. So many local delights. Such delicious food and washed down in the evening with a cold beverage or a glass of wine, we were truly spoilt and definitely not roughing it.

Last but not least as it was the thing that really stood out for us was the personal touch that we experienced throughout our tour and not from just Dianna and Isa. You can’t but help feel like a part of their Tanzanian family. The real heartfelt stories of the people you meet will touch you in such a positive way. All of the Tanzania Discovery Tour family are so passionate with what they do and you can tell they really want you to have the best experience possible. We are truly grateful to have crossed this Bucket List item off with this tour.

Annie and I would thoroughly recommend this tour for anyone that would love to do a safari in Africa but also who has a sense of adventure to dig a bit deeper and get a sense of Tanzanian culture that will remain with you for a long time to come.”
